  • Drawing
    Drawing into a grounded plate.

A sharp needle breaks the surface of the acid resist. The plate is then bitten in acid, creating a line beneath the surface of the plate.

  • Grounding
    Grounding a plate.

Hard ground, an acid resist, is applied to a heated plate, and then rolled out to produce a thin film.

  • Polymer
    Polymer plates and print.

Polymer plates, or solar plates, are exposed to light and then processed with water. They are then printed as a traditional intaglio plate.
